Bovis Lend Lease Wins Alliance Contract for Desalination Pipeline Construction
Lend Lease Corporation Limited (“Lend Lease”) today announced that its subsidiary, Bovis Lend Lease Limited (“Bovis Lend Lease”), as part of Connect Alliance, has been awarded the contract for the design and construction of the water delivery pipeline for Sydney’s desalination plant.

Connect Alliance, comprising Bovis Lend Lease, McConnell Dowell, Kellogg Brown & Root, Patterson Britten & Partners and Environmental Resources Management will work with Sydney Water on the project.

Connect Alliance’s contract, valued at approximately A$450 million, is for the design and construction of the 18 kilometre pipeline which will carry desalinated water from the Kurnell plant to the City Water Tunnel at Erskineville.

Bovis Lend Lease’s share is approximately 40% of the total contract value.

Detailed design development and construction planning will begin immediately with major construction work on the pipeline expected to start around October 2007.
